Its not often that i shout about a new find, but this is something else, i'm staggered!
If you like well driven double bass, piano, percussion, then try this out, i heard one track on Sarah Ward's show last week, snagged the last copy amazon had, only to get an email saying that the cd had been returned to them by RM damaged, and will be replaced. Ah well, i'll wait i thought. Looked at resellers and found a copy which has arrived today, house to myself for the eve, on it goes, up the volume, sit back, flippin eck, this is amazing. Jazz trio, but damn well put together and Ilg plays bass so well, fluent, and exuberant and times, reminding me of Charlie Haden when gets it stoked up, very exciting..
