In light of the thread regrading The Emporium being closed I feel it is worth laying out the correct proceedure for dealing with complaints on Ebay. I don't think forums are the place to conduct a resolution unless in the most extreme circumstances. It seems in the above case that after the initial posting there was little or no input from buyer or seller to confirm the facts and whether the issue was resolved to everyones satisfaction.

If you are not satisfied email the seller - do not post here.

If no reply from seller in 3 days open a complaint through Ebay.
You can select option that you wish to return item for refund.

The onus in now on the seller to reply and make an offer that resolves your problem.

If no agreement can be made the last resort is to contact ebay for advice. They will refund money from the sellers paypal account back to buyer's usualy subject to return of the item. Items have to be returned as tracked packages for proof and your protection.

I think it is fair to post here only when dealing with an uncooperative seller or perhaps seeking advice on whether other members have had issues with same seller.

Good points, but some see forums as an easy way to pressure sellers or manufacturers even if the buyer is at fault.
