Some posts on the Garrardmatters forum
hinted about a place called Art of Sound,
so I figured I had to check it out.

My name is Jan, I live in Norway,
and I like horn and open baffle speakers and valve amps,
preferably of the diy variety.

And Garrard turntables, naturally!

cheers

Jan ;)

Hi Jan,
Welcome to The Art of Sound.
Perhaps you could give us detail on your system's components? Also what sort of music do you like to listen to?

Cheers

Hi all

My systems components ...

Well, right now I'm listening to Miles Davis on a Garrard 401 with a air-bearing parallel tonearm and a basic SPU ( GE? ) ( anyway it's not a vintage one ).
Phono and line stage is on it's way out, so not so interesting. I'm building a new line stage, this one : http://www.labjc.com/?p=1035
Passive line crossover into valve mid/treble amps and solid state bass amps.
3 way speakers, horn mid and top with series crossover and open baffle bass.
Not finished yet, a lot of stuff yet to build, completely new speakers and amps is on it's way.
I'm kinda slow, so ..... it'll take time .... :)

Like Miles Davis, Mahavishnu, certain prog, KC, ELP, and so on and so forth.
And classical and opera.

Jan:)
