I have a couple of Greatest Hits, the 1979 version and the 1992 vol 2 version, the ones with the medal on the cover.

Is there a better, or best collection to get? And what other albums are essential?

"Out of the Blue" is one of their best albums. I also like "A New World Record".

The only compilation I have is a 2-CD one "Light Years"

Hi Lee, For what its worth I would side with Keith on this one. 'Out of the Blue' and 'New world record' are both worth getting. They are cracking albums and have the best singles on them imho...:)

Check them out on spotify, if you have it.

I don't own a greatest hits of theirs im afraid.

I really like ELO, and I used to have 'Three Light years' the boxed set on vinyl but I stupidly let it go when I shifted to CD!

However, one of the worst sounding CD's I have is 'Time' which sounds so bad I never listen to it. I would like to try and get another issue of this CD that didn't sound like a bag of nails, plus a couple of others. Eldorado is one of my favourites.
