Sounds bloody lovely .... Im not 100% sure that the indeed is doing me any good at the mo... but i have only just bought it (thank you again Jerry) and thought it should get a bit of listen ...

A bit of totting up puts this system prices new at just shy of £1000 all in (bar cans and indeed ) ... If i was to make a recommendation to someone buying a first time hifi with a budget of a grand, this would be it!

What's an indeed?
:D Yes I'm interested to

I reckon anything sounds better than nothing, would totally screw me up with no music for a while

Change your socks Hamish  Ya gotta keep on the straight & level m8 ;)

There appears to be some blue matter oozing out the feet of your indeed...

Yes, there is a big glop of it oozing from under the dac too!
With nothing to support the cables behind it was all sitting looking up to the sky!

Anything is better than nothing Mark ... This is a thousand pounds worth of hifi here! We're not talking Bose wave here! ;)

On a serious note, I did spot a thread on "budget" gear although I couldn't find it again last night... I did think this set up would make a good contender!
It's a bit forward and "excitable" in the highs compared to what I prefer, but then I'm daft enough to have spent considerably more than this on my main system... I'm. Sure there are a lot of people who aren't that daft who would find this system very good!

... Found it ...
It was more about beginners than budget... But there was mention of 1000-2500 budget and how we would prioritise ....
I think this set up demonstrates my priorities :)
