My name is Val and I'm in Portsmouth, UK.
I've had more bits of hifi over the years than I care to remember!
Started in the late 70's with some Amstrad gear (4000mkII) and moved on through the brands and price ranges! I've had some great gear and some not so good. In the last few years I have discovered the delights of Valve amps :) A Leak Stereo 20 has relegated my Primare digital setup to the loft!
I am currently running a pair of Leak Stereo 20's as mono blocks through Epos speakers and being fed by a passive modded Beresford Caimen. Transport is an Airport Express at the moment but I have a Teac MP-h01 on order (if they ever arrive!). Also waiting for the Bushmaster to be released.
I've got a few other Leak amps as well that I sometimes swop over. Desk based listening is through an old Grado SR 80 phones fed by various small amps/dac's. This is an area I'm still playing with and have not settled on a favourite yet.
Musical tastes run from classic R&B, 70's rock, 70's alternative, right through to dub reggae.
