I've been meaning to start this for ages, but I keep thinking it will bomb, but let's see... :)

I travel a lot in the car, and like most cars these days, I have the Traffic announcements set to come on via RDS, to give me pre-warning of any snarl ups. What I've noticed though is that loads of local radio presenters are rubbish at hitting the "RDS" button to finish the traffic announcements, so my CD is usually interrupted longer than necessary - but more crucially, someone is usually cut-off mid sentence and I am often left with a snippet of information, but no idea how it finishes! The boredom of the road gets my imagination going as I try to guess what it might be they were about to talk about - but I thought it might be a laugh to share a few, and see what you lot can come up with as the alternative endings!

So, here's one from yesterday...

"Thanks to Mike from Bletchley for emailing some excellent photographs of..."

And one from the day before...

"Residents are up in arms after their local housing association has asked them to contribute to the cost of a leaf sweeping machine. Ethel Smith said 'I'm a one woman sweeping machine with my broom, I don't need any..."

Feel free to make a suggestion as to how the sentence ended, or post up any that you hear yourself. Or just ignore me, and I'l shuffle off back down the M1 with my over active imagination... :)
