Hi
I am venturing back into a proper system, and having owned NVA P50 and A60 in the past as well as having an Audio Innovation 500 at the same time I have decided to go for the NVA setup, mainly because I found it a little less colour and more control/musical. Previously the NVA set up was married to a Meridian 508 and KEF Model 2's. I realise the limitation of the KEF's now so will be going for something different this time.
I really like the Dali Icon 6 mk2's which sound really good, has any one out there experience of these with NVA or have any opinions on what speakers work best with NVA's.
Thanks
Adrian
Which power amp is the A60?

Hi Adrian,
If it's of any use, Richard Dunn (NVA) runs his own forum, which can be found here: http://thehifisubjectivist.noadforum.com/index.php?sid=74878c07bb496b01393d5779b8df6d7f

Hi Adrian,
Royds are often the speaker of choice for NVA owners. I tried Royd Merlins with my NVA amp and had excellent results .. You could not go wrong with any of the Royd range to be honest.
Cheers.

Hi Adrian, I got excellent results from a pair of Royd Minstrels. Stupidly sold them in a moment of madness. I'm getting great results from a pair of Dali Zensors at the moment , as good as the Royds in many areas.

Royds, well that' going to be a bit of a hunt to find some nice ones. If I can find some I will see if I can demo them by taking my NVA along, otherwise I think it will be the Dali Ikon 6 mk2's.
Thanks for the replies

One other option to consider is NVA's own "cube" speakers which are available on ebay. I heard the smaller pair and was really impressed; I think they are excellent value for money - plus, you get a great returns policy - if you don't like them, you just send them back for refund ...

I had some Monitor Audio BR5's that worked very well with NVA kit.

Hi
Thanks for that, I will audition some MA's and some Dali's, I think the NVA's pretty neutral so with a good front end (Meridian) should be down to the speakers and personal preference.

Yeah, give them a go.. The BR5's are really cheap these days too and you could probably pick ups some RS6's for £400 - £500.. Avoid the RS8's though... no way as good as the RS6's IMO.
Dali's are also very good.. I had some huge ones and still retail around the £7k mark. The stand mount ones are very good indeed.

Well the kit has arrived Meridian 508, NVA p50 pre amp and a60 power, hooked up to Dali Ikon 6 mk2's. Sounds really good, though still bedding in. Played Peter Gabtriel 4 and sound really tight in drums and bass, Genesis Dance of volcano sounds great, bass is control but there. Mary Black sounds amazing, slight power amp hum so going to contact Richard.
