Spendor SP100

Very happy with my SP2/3e but very tempted by a good deal on a new pair of SP100s (not the most recent version). Any advice with those with experience with the Spendor range? Thanks.

Marco used to have a pair of SP100s

Obviously, you need to audition them first. I believe Spendor had trouble with surrounds hardening with age on the bass driver.

There was no danger of that happening on Marco's believe me! the punishment they got should have rendered them liquid, not solid! :lol:

Hahaha... As you well know, dahling, I only listen to gentle orchestral music, at low volume levels, whilst pirouetting in front of the mirror in my pink tutu!! :eyebrows:

You could always look for a second hand pair of Harbeth 40.1 at around that price.
Possibly one of the best speakers I’ve heard at any price.
