VTA for tecnoarm on SL1210 ???

Just fitted a technoarm on my SL1210. The arm has the Michell VTA adjuster and sits on an Origin Live board. Even with the VTA set to absolute minimum, the arm seems to be too high, resulting in a steep tracking angle (platter has a 5mm acromat). any advice gatefully received :scratch:

Try a spacer between the cartridge and headshell.

I have the same problem with Rega arm and try to use Michell's VTA. In the end I have to buy Origin Live's VTA I'm afraid. But with OL it fits tightly into the mounting hole so the arm can mount exactly to geometry distance according to Rega length.
Who said VTA not important (Rega was it).

Or use another platter mat (such as copper or glass) under the Achromat.

I've plonked the original mat under the achromat to narrow the gap, but the arm still seems high. might just have to take the vta collar off, which means a lot of teckie dismantling....again!

That's what I would do.
