What to buy the wife this year? Got some perfume and a bracelet charm but would like to get something original or unusual as well. Anything you have bought in previous years that she has flipped over?

Hmmm, make her something. My wife is off dairy (long story) and she loves mince pies. I've just been looking at recipes now to make some for her. I hate them so she can have lot!

It's really hard for us two as we buy what we need through the year. I think she wants the Poirot DVD box set,a bit steep at £60.00 but that's one for the list

My missus adores Lovelinks bracelets and charms. Buy the basic chain and a couple of charms to get started then add a few more at birthdays and christmas time :eyebrows:

How do you make mince pies without her noticing? Got a Pandora charm. She always gets loads of good things for me so keep the ideas coming.

As a female, I love lots of things, but one of my favourite gifts to recieve at Christams is a book or something from Pastimes the retailer. They sell some beautiful gifts and I bet your wives would really appreciate it. I love make up and perfume from Yves St Laurent. Jewelry from Isis another big retailer and no they are not always expensive. You can get some great deals. But I have made a list below:

Perfume - Harvey Nicks or Debenhams
Jewelry - Isis
Underwear - Harvey nick or John Lewis
Nightwear ie some silk PJs that sort of thing Marks and Spencer
Books - Any book shop
Name a star after her - You can also buy a star that is named after her, Dom did that for me once and I thought it was a lovely gestre. These you can get online.

Vinyl - One of her fav Cds on vinyl that way she can enjoy listening to vinyl
gift sets - Gift set from Debenhams,Marks and spencer or John lewis they do some gorgeous sets

Shops to look out for:

Isis
Debenhams
Pastimes
Harvey Nichols
Marks and Spencers
John Lewis
that sort of place

Don't go to
H Samuals
Boots
Matalan
Argos
Primark
Ann Summers lol unless she is a bit kinky
I wouldn't buy her CDs or DVDs, not much thought goes into that, I wouldn't buy perfume from boots or jewelry from H Samuals or Argos, you can get far better from the other places I have mentioned.

So guys get out their and get your Mrs that something special, hope your taking heed Dom

You need to buy her a fur coat and a d1ldo. If she doesn't like the fur coat then she can go and f*** herself..

Ps, I do not expect this to last... maybe overstepping the mark...

Haha glad you liked it! If you like that kind of humour you should see 'Bridesmaids'. My other half is downstairs watching it with her friend and all I can hear is the pair of them in stitches!

1. The Shell Seekers by Rosamunde Pilcher - a romance book but one that's often sold in lit. sections - my wife's read it at least 6 times and says it's her favorite present of all, even though I've spent much more on other things.
2. VERY comfy pajamas for the winter.
3. VERY nice bottle of wine (finessy) or "girl" liquor (sorry about the sexism)
= all-in-all a nice package.

Good Luck,
Barry :)

Primark! Does anyone over the age of 16 go in there? PJ's are a good idea. Don't think she would be too impressed with a star called Susan.
Barry-thanks for the book recommendation I shall get that.

Jerry, you cant go wrong with a book, and some nice PJs.

I don't like primark at all, the things they sell are rubbish and don't last 2 minutes. So glad your with me on that one.

I'm sure that your Susan will love her christmas gifts, I know I would if were me. This means you've gone out and actually thought about what you are going to get for her, and not just any old thing.

Now you lot what are you going to get for me after all this sound advice and the great list I made :lol:only joking:lol:

Natalie;)
