I had my Gyro on fleabay this past week on a buy it now/buyer collects basis and only got enquiries from those far away! (Germany, Italy as well as the north of England).

So before I relist it next weekend I thought I'd see if any of the discerning folk around here are tempted.

My "buy it now" for the whole lot was £1395, but I'm prepared to sell without the cover, and all reasonable offers will be considered. I'm well prepared now to pack it and ship within the EU - though I'd still prefer the buyer to collect.

What I have:

Gyro SE, DC motor standard power supply
Tecnoarm
Goldring G1042 (about 20 hours on current stylus)
Michell SEcure cover
Tracking dust thingy, earthed to disipate static
Spare drive belt
Some bearing oil
The unused Tecnoarm counter balance weight

I've also got a Unicover for sale.

Thanks for looking.

Now sold. Off to a new home in Stuttgart . . .

But I still have the cover, and also a Michell Unicover if anyone's interested .. ..

I assume that since it is a unicover that it might also fit over many other turntables? If so, can you list the internal height, width and depth? Can you also mention how much you are looking for it?

Hi Stanley,

These are the specs:

SEcure cover (http://www.analogueseduction.net/product/Michell_Engineering_Secure_Cover_For_Orbe_SE_%26_G yro_SE_ME-SC). Incidentally the description here is a bit misleading; it doesn't sit ON the platter, it sits on the support table (see my picture above).

Unicover (http://www.analogueseduction.net/product/Michell_Unicover_ME-UC)

The Unicover just sits on the platter and keeps dust of that and the tone arm - I would imagine it would fit most turntables with "normal" arms.

Reasonable offers around £110 for the full cover and £30 for the Unicover will definitely be considered :) (Postage extra, at cost)

Thanks for your interest.

Bob

Hi Morris_Minor,

I'm awaiting arrival of a newly ordered Gyro SE and would be interested in buying your Secure cover if it is still available?

Please contact me if this is the case.

Thanks,
Ken

Hi Ken,

Welcome to AoS :)

As you have not made five posts on the open forum, you cannot be contacted yet via the PM facility, therefore please, as you were asked to do in your registration email, pop into the Welcome area and introduce yourself to our community, by telling us what system you've got and what music you like.

Then, when you have made at least five posts, you will be able to conduct a PM dialogue with Bob.

Thanks in advance for your co-operation!

Marco.

Hi Ken,

Yes I do still have the cover! PM me when it's working for you :) (An easy way to make five posts is to contribute to the "Spinning today - what are you listening to" threads ;) )

Thanks,
Bob
