I recently received back my GL 75 from Dom at Northwest Analogue who has done a fantastic job transforming this with a rosewood plinth, Jelco 750D arm and new super bearing by Jeremy. It is now run in and sounding fantastic witha Nagaoka MP 110, but I cannot wait to hear it with the Jico SAS styus for my Shure M97xE.:)
Sorry, far too stupid to post photos, but if you want to see it go to Northwest's site & look at his gallery - it is the last photo.
I still love my Notts Analogue Junior Spacedeck with Dynavector 10x5 but the sound is different - the Lenco has more attack & slam - marvellous with orchestral pieces.
By the way I got an Audio Technica AT95E with the TT. Does anyone have experience of either the Shibata or HE styli, which can be got from W. Thakker, for this cart?
Also love my Goldring G800, which I equally got for nowt, with an after market stylus (& a large blob of bluetack to give the right weight & not have to keep changing VTA - Marco please note!).;)
Certainly these old tables can give some of the modern stuff a run for their money.
(All played through Graham Slee Jazz Club, Quad 66 pre, Quad 606/II & Kef 104/2s).
