Hi guys

I think the tonearm on my Nad TT has a problem. One or other of the channels drops intermittently - its not the amp I don't think, when I swap the phono connections around the problem shifts between speakers. The phono plugs are moulded so not sure it's that, I've checked the solder connections at the base of the arm, and I've conducted a continuity test between the cartridge tags and the phono plugs. All seem ok.

Could it be something to do with the connection between the stylus and cartridge? Its a Goldring Elektra IIRC I think, and slides on to the cartridge.

Sorry, I'm no expert with TT.

Hi Paul. It will not be the stylus assembly. More likely to be the cartridge tags, or the internal wiring is damaged. When the arm is moved this will cause the intermittent fault, making and breaking the connection where the wiring is damaged.
