Found this forum whilst searching for info. about an old Philips cartridge (someone on the bay selling a Linn with one fitted).

It's been very informative & I'm sure I'll be a regular visitor for advice in putting together a decent system.

Haven't decided whether or not to bid on the Linn yet, it looks a bit 'tired'.

I do have a Project Essential that sounds ok but is a bit too delicate for me (I keep knocking the belt off) & a JVC QLA7 with a Shure M75, which is showing it's age a bit.

I mainly listen to Rock but my tastes are quite eclectic (but definitely exclude Country & Western)
