View Full Version : Hello !
Greetings to all at Art of Sound. I’m Jeff from Washington state, not too far from Seattle, where its very wet right now, perhaps the same as where many of you chaps are across the pond. I learned of this site from Mike New who answered some questions about upgrading/modifying a recently acquired SL1200 Mk II. I’m grateful he directed me here. I recently sold an Acoustic Signature table and Graham Phantom arm. I have a Coincident Phono Statement Pre Amplifer. Besides a MC input it has one auxiliary input I use for my digital source, which is a Modwright modified Logitech Transporter. Amps are Coincident M300B Frankenstein Mk II mono blocks. Speakers are Coincident Super Eclipse III. I listen mostly to jazz and female vocals. I hear lots of tecno and rock in my exercise class and enjoy it thoroughly, but don’t usually listen to it while sitting in the sweet spot at home. :)

Hi Jeff, a very warm welcome to AoS from me also :) I nearly bought a pair of Coincident speakers at one stage, it was a very close thing indeed. I can't remember the model now but if I remember correctly they had side firing woofers as per your speakers, but there were 4 x 8" per speaker
Perhaps I'll take a look at the archives on their website ;) Found it after a bit of searching Total Victory II (http://www.coincidentspeaker.com/total_victory_ii.html)
Bests to you & I hope you enjoy your stay!

Hi Jeff,
Here's a warm welcome to AoS from me.
I had a fantastic visit to your part of the world back in 2001 - Mt Rainier, St. Helens, Crater Lake, Olympic Peninsular what a place!
Cheers & enjoy the forum.
Hi Jeff, welcome from me too. Enjoy AoS. :)
Thanks for all the warm welcomes. This is a very friendly place! I will soon be posting in the Analog Art forum hoping to get some advice. Enjoy the music!
;)
Mark, the speakers I have are the Super Eclipse III with two 8" side firing woofers.

This is the second pair I've owned. The lust for something better or ?? overtook me and i tried two others but came back to these. Everything I have is either second hand or a demo unit. The first pair of Supers came from a fellow in Canada, and the second pair from someone else in Seattle. I was lucky to find such nice ones so close.
PS That is some amazing assemblage of kit you have! And you seem to know quite a bit about electronics.

The Total Victory IIs that I was looking at had managed to find there way to this side of the pond, they are exceedingly uncommon over here & they were absolutely mint.. Hindsight is a bugger :eyebrows:
Most of my kit is also secondhand, only some of the cheaper kit did I buy new as I'm not that rich
As for the electronics, there are members on here that I'm sure know vastly more than I do. However, I know enough to do what I want to do which I'm sure you'll agree is the important thing!
Once again a warm welcome to you :) Get stuck in Jeff...
