For sale is my much loved Pioneer PL-71 turntable.

You will know how rare these are now!

In excellent working condition. Rock-steady speed. One tiny chip on rear of plinth and a crack on rear of lid - apart from this, a great looker for its age. Operation of lid and hinges is fine. Supplied with original and new headshells, but no cartridge.

I imported this model from the USA and so have had it adjusted for UK voltage. Apart from that it is totally original with no mods. I think the only upgrade you might like to do is a re-wire of the arm by Audio Origami to add even more sparkle!

Will try to post photos this weekend.

I am not willing to ship, as don't have original box.
Price is £450 firm, cash on collection from Highgate, North London.

Any inspection welcome and very happy to answer your questions. :)

If I had no turntable, I would have bought this.

Would love to listen to a PL-71 some day.

Good Luck with the sale.

Hi, would you consider packing the TT if I arranged a carrier? I was thinking about packing the platter in a different box to the TT and stacking the boxes taped together. I've done it myself and it works well with loads of newspaper and cardboard.
If you can pack I'll have it.
Best,
Darren

On top of the existing mat or on it's own Jerry?

I use it on its own - but if you can manage the appropriate height adjustment why not try both ways? :)
