Hello from Pete in Worcester (very exciting!)
My system is pretty safe compared to many but it does it for me
After years of playing about I've always liked the original Audiolab stuff (and it has been within my budget also!) so have settled (for now) on matching 8000CD, 8000S, 2 x 8000M going to Monitor Audio Bronze floorstanders. Not exotic but respectable me thinks. I've recently hooked up a Beresford 7520 as I've started streaming stuff via my Sony Blu-Ray player and I have to say the results are pretty spectacular. I am now regularly running my Sennheisers ragged till ridiculous hours of the morning - and it shows in my complexion! Ho hum - hi to you all!!

Hi Pete, welcome to AoS :) It really doesn't matter what equipment you have at the end of the day, on here it's about the community ;)
While I'm sure you'd get some very sound upgrading advice if you ever decided to, it's not compulsory :eyebrows:
So stick about, enjoy your time here & become part of the AoS
Bests to you!
Welcome Pete to AOS
I really hope you enjoy it here
Mark totally right we not really equipment snobs here
What music do like to listen to

Many thanks for the warm welcome. Yes - I'm sure upgrade advice will be sought once my daughter stops growing out of shoes!
Sorry - yes, the bit it's all about:
I'm a huge Who fan (probably more Townshend actually), REM, Nick Drake, Eels, Ian Dury and then I'm a bit of a sucker for Italian baroque composers (Albinoni, Corelli, Vivaldi et al!) Oh - and you can't beat a bit of Bach. This is just a snapshot really though - I was listening to Boney M last night so I don't know what that tells you!

Been there & done that to :eyebrows: Pete, it doesn't matter what you listen to either in all honesty. I listen to just about anything, there does happen to be some kind of standing joke about on here about Celine Dion though :eyebrows:
I ignore that one to, it's just a bit of fun
And a welcome from me as well Peter.
As Mark has already said, it doesn't matter what you use or what you listen to, all that matters is you have a passion for music. Anyway it looks as though you have decent enough gear and interesting tastes in music.
Don't worry about the 'prison pallor' - I'm a night person as well, as can be seen from the timing of this posting. (Actually we know that the only time you can listen to Bony M, without complaint or criticism, is in the small hours of the morning! :eyebrows:)
Enjoy the Forum, welcome again

It was a lapse of judgment, I apologise to the house and it won't happen again. I'm not resigning though!
