View Full Version : Hi!
As it would be rude not to a quick hello from Ipswich, about to make a few system changes but currently using a mac mini, rega dac/young dac, Technics 1210, Quad 99 pre, 909 power, Monitor Audio GS20/10. Think that's about everything but hopefully will be changing over the next few weeks!!
Oh and as you can see my username is the incredibly clever combination of my initials with my year of birth, a stroke of genius im sure you will all agree.

Welcome to AoS, Steven. What are your plans for change?
Well i'd like a change of speakers my main set anyway probably sell the GS20's and ideally id like to find some B&W 805S's in cherry, and also id like another TT been looking at Pro-ject RPM4 and 5 or possibly an old Thorens 160.
Hi Steven, from another Suffolk member in Ipswich. How do you find the Rega DAC compared to the Young? Are you keeping both? What sort of music are you into?
Hope you enjoy AoS. :)
(I've replied to your PM, btw.)
Hi
With regard to the dacs not as much difference as I was expecting, I changed from a CA dacmagic to the rega which felt like a big step up but with the young and rega it's more like there are qualities I like from both the young probably does edge it though. Ultimately I've always wanted to own the chord dac64 but waiting to hear one first at the moment it's all based around appearance (and reviews)!
Sorry should have put this in one post musically pretty varied taste - listen to a lot of Motown (where the love of vinyl came from 4 years old listening to Stevie wonder on my parents b&o set up) to more modern soul d'angelo etc, hip hop - the roots, tribe called quest, bands television, strokes, libertines - then the foals, delphic I guess I could go on but everyones probably now bored clicking the back button!
