I've been using a Classe Audio 30 pre-amp for quite a few years now with fabulous results, so now looking for a matching Classe Audio 70 power amp.

The C.Audio 70 power amp is the perfect match for my C.Audio 30 pre.

What do you think of your DR5 pre? Are you running it in balanced mode? The older Classe kit is superbly well made, like a tank!

Hi Peter,

The DR5 is a fantastic piece of kit and as you say, it's built like a tank. I sincerely doubt I could better it on my budget and it drives my Hafler power amp with aplomb. I'm using Belkin PureAV Silver IC's as the Hafler does not sport balanced inputs unfortunately. Having said that there is a lot of synergy going on between these two components and the sound coming out of my DM2's as a result is pure magic.

The DR5 is the only bit of Classe Audio hifi kit I've heard but on that basis alone I would not hesitate to incorporate more CA components into my system should the opportunity ever arise. I'm eager to audition a CA power amp to hear what benefits, if any, one might bring to the party... ;)
