Always fancied a pair of SF's and wondered if anyone had tried them with a Lyngdorf SDAi 2175 amp? :)

Any particular characteristics to mention about the SF's?
Ta! :)

Hi Icey,
Im really pushed for time at present but, really briefly, I used a tact/lyndorf switcher with Sonus Faber Grand Pianos at home for years - it was an excellent combination. You will enjoy I'm sure.

Hi Craig - I've not heard that particular SF, but some of their small standmounters have an amazingly HUGE sound. A pair at a Show a couple of years back easily filled a big 30x40 (or something like that) foot room, and with perhaps too much bass!

I'm concerned they may be a bit much!
Can you try 'em before you buy 'em?

... but as for the compatability, I reckon the very high damping factor on the Lyngdorf will get control of the woofer cones very nicely - which is perhaps what is needed!

Tony at Central has/had a pair, haven't called him yet, but it would be over a 100 mile round journey to hear 'em.

The problem too is that they are the traditional wood colour on the side panels, 'er indoors insists on piano gloss finish! :(

How did you know that?

Fact is though, my shiny black Quads match the other stuff in the room, and a normal wood finish would not look good. :)
