FS: Audio Innovations Series 500 Valve Integrated Amplifier

Here for sale is a beautiful Audio Innovations Series 500 Valve Integrated Amplifier.

This gorgeous amplifier sounds sublime, especially with Snell ''J'' Type II Or Audio Note ''ANJ'' speakers. You get nothing but fantastic midrange, musicality and great boogie.

The amp and the acrylic plinth has a few tiny marks, but it's in very good condition. Like all Audio Innovation Valve Amplifiers, there is a slight hum. But this is only mechanical and doesn't affect the sound.

This Audio Innovations Series 500 has the 16 OHM taps on the rear. Meaning this one has superior transformers than the much less desired later model Audio Innovations Series 500.

In February this year, this amp was sent to David Wright to be fully renovated at the cost of £410. I have the invoice, and will be included with the amp to the buyer.

Here is what was done:

Replace all electrolytic capacitors (except reservoirs)

Replace Volume with Alps Blue type + bypass balance

Fit new O/P 5881s and replace PCC88s with 6922s

Check and soak test

£800. ono.

UK Delivery will be £25.

The buyer is more than welcome to collect the amp.

This could be the second boo..boo..you're making, i still remember you sold your mint fully modded Net Audio 405,no takers initially and it went cheap in the end, if i hadn't just bought a 33/303 combo,that would've been mine :doh:, good luck with the sale mate.

Hi,

I had purchased one of these 20 years ago new, had it refurbished and loved it and then I flipped out and sold it. I am interested in yours but want to ask a few questions the Elc's have been replaced, but I have seen reports of issues doing this due to voltages, do you have a view on this, what did border patrol say? How long have you owned it?

What is you best price as I am rebuilding a complete system any help would be appreciated, I had to ask?
