Not often any manufacturer takes notice of demand for a product as economy's of scale dictate that development costs are high and unless sold in massive volumes return on investment is long winded, but one company have done that very thing and a gap in the market for a quality UK mains plug has been bridged.
Currently we have the Furutech duo of gold plated and rhodium plated plugs starting at £88, below that nothing apart from the MK Toughplug and other variations on the same them, there are one or two to bridge the gap but most were not intended to be used for power leads being industrial in their nature.
I do not have any pictures yet but the newcomer is a right angled cable entry plug with pure copper contact pins (copper being the 2nd best conductor behind silver) so on paper an excellent specification and the price is quite reasonable for what is on offer at £49.95.
More information and pictures when I get my first samples.
