View Full Version : Squeezebox Duet Problems
Hi, i wonder if anyone knows anything about these things on here.
I have bought the squeezebox duet, i followed setup to the letter but cannot get the receiver to connect, it just keeps flashing red. I downloaded and installed the software, completed registration, connected the controller no problems but just cannot set up the receiver. The controller scan finds the receiver, i choose it as prompted but the colour sequence for setup just doesn't happen. Please help.

If the Duet is as temperamental as my Squeezebox Classic, you've begun the first lesson of a masterclass in system analysis. Even after 4 years, the flippin' thing will fail to connect with the server for no reason that I can fathom, the latest being tonight's hissy fit that meant I had to jump-start it from the computer. I don't want to sound too negative - when it's running OK it's the sweetest thing, for which there's no real substitute, at least not the way I'm set up. You just need to learn new skills to keep it going.
The Logitech support forum (http://forums.slimdevices.com) is just brilliant, so that's the place to go for help - they should have you sorted out in no time.

I've been running a SB3 for quite some time with very few issues.
Are you running it on wired or wireless network?
If you're running wireless, are there many wireless networks in your locale?
There's a distinct possibility that you might be getting channel conflicts with one or more of your neighbours.
I'd also like to point out that the Squeezebox forum you've linked to is not the official Logitech support forum.
There are a lot of knowledgeable and helpful people on there who are always willing to help - just don't vent any frustrations upon the members there, as all you'll do is get folk annoyed, and they'll withdraw their help.
This is the reason why I posted a link to Logitech.
