Is there anyone out there who is willing to make a perephiry ring for the SL-1200 MK2? Larry from TT Weights used to make it for the TT but discontinued it. One other person somewhere in Europe - SoundFountain Universal Stabalizing Ring - also made it for the TT but has not made it in some time.

If somone made it or had one for sale, it would help with my SME on some of my warped records.

What's wrong with a good heavy mat?

Take a look at my mat. A Copper Mat, Achromat, Herbies Mat, or the Original Mat will not smooth out the warp or flatten the record. An outer ring may somewhat flatten the warps.

The Oyaide mat is good for decreasing the effect of warped records, especially when used with a suitable turntable weight. Should be ok to use with your copper mat.

John Damm, beat me to it, with the Oyaide weight and mat, l have the flattest records l have ever had ( the 1 degree slope on the mat is very important), and the proof is in the sound;)

I have a recessed label area on my copper mat. It adds 4.1 lbs. to the platter. How much does the Oyade weigh and does it have a recessed label area?

I have a centre weight from TT Weights weighing 1.8 lbs.

However, it does not help with warped records. It can make the warps worse when using my SME arm.

Yes the Oyaide has a recessed label area and weighs 1.5lb (0.7kg).
