Hi all,
To let you know, I am selling much of my cherished Linn equipment. These are being sold separately rather than as a whole.

The LK140 is one of Linn's forgotten good amps I think. A bit lean and brightly lit in balance but with clean-clarity compared to the slightly grainy LK100 which preceeded it, it could nonetheless drive all sorts of difficult "Linn" loads without stress and I suspect a fuller toned preamp would be a great match to it.
The Katans were good little boxes too and sounded even tempered in passive mode but with an active option as well.
What are you going to replace it all with?

Hi Dave,
Already replace with my self-designed and built interstage-coupled triode amp, Audio Note kit DAC 2.1 Signature, Audio Note AZ-Three hemp-coned loudspeakers. See piccies and Youtube link in this thread: http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?t=13306

Umm - that's an interesting move I must say
I know it shouldn't make any difference, but that K20 speaker cable was a system killer I discovered in several different venues. Even a plain 2.5mm stranded copper cable makes for an improvement i found, although I don't know why, unless the copper Linn used wasn't up to much or the grey insulation material did funny things (there was a mega-strand spaced copper Levinson cable that infulenced it I seem to remember and this sounded a bit thick and clogged as well.....)

Yep, planning to go for Atlas Hyper 3, biwired (eventually).

Just a reminder that these auctions have about 23 hours left.
