View Full Version : Grease my Pink Triangle!
My Mark One Pink Triangle is at last getting set up in my work system. Sadly the inverted bearing seems almost devoid of oil. Am I right in recalling that these used a thick oil/grease that clung to the bearing? any ideas what to buy?
Thanks boys.
Hi Dave,
I considered that but know he is busy an doesnt always get round to emails...... thought I'd ask here first.
By the way: a great big public thanks ofr the advice you've given me of late via PM.:interesting::grouphug:

As I recall, it was a graphite grease.

It's the name given to the substance that went on the bearing. It was not like normal bearing oil, as it had a thicker consistency.

Thanks neil. Might have a word with Arthur afterall. Molyslip has also been suggested - makes a kind of sense I guess.

You know i had what i thought the best two turntables at the time: Logic 'DM101' & PT 1'..i absolutly loved both so lived with both. This did my head in tbh because both gave stong points in different areas.. To me back then nothin out of the UK mattered, i ignored all the crap Mags gave out.UK Rules in my book.

Would molybdenum disulphide (spelling?) grease be suitable - As used in CV joints
