Hello everyone,
Having lurked here for a while, and having just read some of Marco's admonitions to the un-introduced, I thought I'ld better do something about it! (While I haven't posted I have bought a couple of items via PM/email :o.)
My name is Angus, and I come from a small town south of Marco's home town (assuming that's what ImjustabigbawheidfraeGlesga meant!). I now live in Northampton.
My music tastes are pretty catholic (that's with a small 'c', Marco;)), from Fleetwood Mac and Eric Clapton to Respigi and Sibelius, including most genres along the way (except rap).
I've used CD and casette for convenience (car/workshop) but my prime source has always been vinyl. I used to be commited to belt drive, but stimulated by what I found surfing on AoS, my system is now
Technics SL150Mk2/JelcoSA750D/DenonDL-304
Audiolab 8000A (recapped and modded)
Monitor Audio GS10s on some ancient spiky stands.
I have a Sansui AU-717 waiting to be recapped/modded for comparison with the 8000A, having been a fan of Sansui's better built equipment from the 70s and early 80s for a long time. Looking forward to the comparison.
