I've had the dubious delights of long motorway trips on 3 of the last 4 Tuesday evenings, and found myself listening to Jamie's one-hour show. I must say I have thoroughly enjoyed it, and he plays some great stuff, and is clearly very knowledgeable about jazz. This week featured a Maida Vale session with an act I've "bigged up" before - Trombone Shorty.

Well worth a spin on the iPlayer, if you're a jazz fan with an hour to kill. (Presumably UK only so sorry to any of our members abroad.)

A really good mix of jazz styles, both old and modern - probably "jazz by numbers" for proper jazz fanatics but for a heathen like me a very enjoyable 60 minutes.

Hi Alex,

I've also been listening to that show, and yup, it is excellent! Highly recommended, folks, if you like jazz :)

Marco.

Here's a Spotify Playlist if you just want to hear the tracks he played this week. (The Album versions of the Trombone Shorty tracks not the live session, but it gives you an idea.)

Thanks Alex will give that a go, the Bob Harris show 7pm to 8pm on Thursday's BBCRadio2 is also very good. Country and Americana :)

Yep I'm another JC fan, it is a great show and for me anyway has introduced me to some new artists, that otherwise I would have missed.
