Hi Guys, I have posted a couple of times before and have read a fair bit but haven't posted so much due to a posting block on my work computer, seems to let me now though...

I listen to all sorts of music from classical, to dance to prog-rock. Favourite artists include: Leonard Cohen, John Martyn, The Clash & The Beautiful South. Recently and very lately been really getting into The Alan Parsons Project. Also quite happy getting a bit down and dirty with more electro like the Stanton Warriors or the like.

I'm still running the same basic set up I've had since I was 18 (28 now) which I'm trying to upgrade when funds allow. So it's an Arcam Alpha 8 on to B&W 602 S2's and a BK XXLS400 subwoofer. My primary source is a Squeezebox Touch into a Beresford Caiman. My aim next year is to upgrade my speakers and amp, hopefully with either PMC TB2i's or the new Twenty 22's. Amp wise I'm considering the Quad 909 and possibly a Croft pre.

Nice speakers PMC are, depending on the model you might find you don't need that sub any more :eyebrows:

Thanks for the welcome guys. Like I said I actually signed up quite a while ago...it's been a little frustrating reading many of your posts while not being able to get involved. Not sure what's changed with the internet settings at work but I intend to make the most of it!

Mark - The Clash are actually far and away my favourite band, I just think Strummer really has some character in his voice and the punk fusion thing really does it for me, just so many great tracks. One minute they can have you up out of your seat with something like Hateful and then the next mesmerize you with something the Straight to Hell.

I only just got what i reckon is one of The Clash best ever albums recently & i could have kicked myself for not purchasing it previously :doh:

Seek out Stanton Warriors Session 1, not all their music but a cracking mix from around a very decent era of breakbeat music. Might appeal to your dirtier tastes :)

Thanks for the tip, not heard that one. I've got vol. 2 and really like it. Quite enjoy the Plump DJ's too.
