Gimmell Records is renowned for high quality recordings, though of a limited range of music.

For a limited time the Kyrie of a Josquin Mass is available for free download in a number of formats and resolutions.

Even if this sort of music is not your normal choice I recommend you grab the free track for a listen.

No Marco. Gimell may be committed to the best music of the past but they have embraced the best technology of the future.

Seems great until you find out you have to register an account. Now why I wonder do they want this information.
Now I’m left with the decision of whether or not its worth using up yet another of my “use once and scrap” net profiles.

I’ll pass thanks all the same ;)

Well, lots of firms like to collect email addresses of potential customers!

With Gimell you establish an account which maintains a history of all your purchases. If you lose a file or album of files you have paid for you can simply download it again - you have registered rights in your profile.

In this case, for a limited time, the purchase price of this track is zero.

If you sign up to this site - https://www.theclassicalshop.net/Default.aspx - I think run by Chandos, you should get a free download each month. A recent one, which I had, was of the CD Venetian Treasures by the Sixteen, though I note it now appears to have reverted to a charged for price. The download was indeed of the whole CD.

My understanding is that they'll send you a newsletter each month with details of the free download.
