Well thats it, after two years in central London my store is closing down.

Just to add my best wishes to you both. I've lost my job three times in my working life (now retired :) ) bu it never meant that I also lost the roof over my head so I feel for you - hope it all goes well.
Dave.

Good luck with your situation, Colin. Don't worry though, the good guys always win in the end! :)

Having had a business go under on me you have my empathy Colin.
I think the hardest thing for me was laying off the people that worked for me.

I wish you the best of luck Colin.

I'd like to echo Marco's and the others feelings. I always wish for these traumas to morph into something better for people, perhaps that they didn't anticipate. Keep the faith and circle the wagons.

Best,
Barry

Same here from me. No issues with roof over my head, but getting my old job back (if they'll have me) is terribly important right now. I really do wish you both the very best.

Colin - do you have anything of interest to sell to "us?"

Oh boy, it wasn't that long ago that some member on here mentioned about the possibility of popping in to your shop Colin to say hello ;) Now you are shutting down...

Really sorry to hear the news fella, i really do wish you all the best for the future :)

As for you Andr'e, you can have the same sympathies. I'd hate to be in the position of losing the roof over my head

I should count myself lucky owning a house with no mortgage..

Thanks for your kind comments. Ive run my stock down pretty well and someone has taken on the lease from the landlord so it could have been worse.
Got a bit of a over stock on natural skin care if theres any metro sexual types on AOS. I doubt it.;)

Good luck guys. Hope it turns out well. I'm out of work, but fortunately I have no worries about the roof over me head.

Colin/Andre (and any others in this situation);

I sure hope things work out for you. I'm in the same situation. It's not good right now. At least you live in the south east where I assume things are fractionally better.
I applied for an IT job and there were 2700 people who did the aptitude test. That's not the number of applicants, that's who they put through the aptitude test. For one job.
I don't want to sound cynical but you find out who your mates are in this situation. Some have been awesome some just didn't want to know.
You will get another job and your life will get back on track. And from then on you
will value certain things you didn't before.

Very true. When I lost my job about 6 years ago I found that out very quick.
