Come on Jerry, you should know my system after all my time on the Wam:rolleyes:
I have amended the opening post with a kit list for you - all subject to change of course should I spot any bargains (and don't get gazzumped by you again like with the Parasound A21:steam:)
Hi Paul,
Welcome to AoS. What a superb system! :)
I especially like Scheu-Analog T/Ts, as they're one of the few belt-drive T/Ts that tick the musical reproduction boxes I consider as essential.
Anyway, enjoy the forum. I hope you divide your on-line time as evenly as possible between the leading UK-based forums you mention, and when you visit us, make a few friends

Thanks Marco - I'll try to contribute as best I can.:trust:
Cheers, mate. With your knowledge and experience, I can't see it being a problem :)
Have we met before at Scalford?
Marco.

I have been at the last 2 Scalfords as a visitor but I don't think we have ever been introduced or spoken to one another.
I didn't even get into your room last year as it was always too crowded when I was in the vicinity.

Tee Hee - you missed a totally stunning bargain there, Paul ... thank goodness! A perfect match for my MBLs. :carrot:
... I've not bothered even looking at other power amps since I got the Parasound. :stalks:

Hmm, yes. I do seem to be hemming myself in at the moment ... apart from the cheap&cheerful vinyl rig, only CDPs and pre-amps and cables to play with now.
Still, that should keep me happily boxswapping for the foreseeables. :)

Funny you should ask.
I only got the Temper V a couple of weeks ago, I upgraded from a Transfiguration Spirit 3. I was really happy with the Spirit 3 hence my desire to go further up the Transfiguration line.
TBH although it sounds great on some LP's I'm still not completely convinced by it and that has led me to think that maybe it is not 100% fine with the EAR phonostage - which has no user adjustable gain or loading. Maybe the Temper V just just needs some more time on it- only about 20-30 hours so far.
I'm wondering about adding an SUT or just upgrading the phonostage to something which I can adjust (Whest, Ayre etc).
I have been at the last 2 Scalfords as a visitor but I don't think we have ever been introduced or spoken to one another.
Let's make up for that next year then and meet up at the bar for a few beers - my shout!
Are you going for a curry in Melton, with the rest of the lads, the night before the show next year?
I didn't even get into your room last year as it was always too crowded when I was in the vicinity.
Lol, crowded is a good sign! Much of it though was likely down to my celebrity status.... :king:
 ;)
Marco.
Excellent system Paul, I like the room treatment too..
