I have been looking for a tuner for my new hifi and was recommended the Magnum Dynalab T90. I can get this for a discount. I was originally looking at the Accuphase T110, but found that a bit too costly.

Anyone tried the T90 and would recommend that as a great valve tuner? Other recommendations?

Sadly I have never had the opportunity to listen to a valve MD tuner, so can offer no opinion on such....

However other options you should look at.........

Sony STA7, Pioneer 9500mk2, Pioneer 9800, Revox B760, Kenwood 8300, Leak Troughline + FM decoder are all very good tuners.

I am a bit underwhelmed by my Accuphase T100 to be honest.

Frankly a well set up Leak Troughline Two and EAR FM Decoder is about as good as it gets imho; form a soundquality point of view.

I use a Dynalab tuner in my valve setup and can fully recommend it. I have the FF101a, and mighty fine it is too.

Thanks! Will check out more on the T90. I am looking for a valve tuner if possible, since all of my other hifi components is on the valve side.

HMMMMMmmm..... The valve dynalabs are the more expensive ones, you can pick dynalab's up from ebay.com for several hundred $$$$, good luck.

Leak Troughline is a valve tuner as is the EAR FM decoder.

Never had experience of the valve Dynalabs but owned an FT101A, exceptional and one of the best bits of kit I've ever bought.

A joy to use and you just have to love those VU meters.

Even the solid state ones have a lovely warm, detailed analogue sound. Absolutely essential bit of kit of you enjoy the Proms, R3 on them is just a joy.

Hope you find one suitable.

I went for the MD90T, got a nice discount on both this and the antenna. Should be coming my way soon. :)

Got this today, hooked it up now with my hifi and a ST-2 antenna. Sounding mighty and nice looking VU's. :)
