Regulator for Squeezebox Touch PSU

I was wondering if somebody could tell me if this regulator would be OK to use in a PSU project I want to build for my Touch? I can't find the original wallwart to find out the current requirements. :scratch:

I made Covenant (Jerry) a member on here a Linear PS for his SB. It needs at least 2A capability for start up. I used an LM317 with an NPN tranny to boost it's cpapbilities.

I used this as a basis, but modified it.
