Hi Jeff, hope you're well mate - not seen you about for a bit so hope all is good with you.
Lovely looking speakers - I'm sure they will sound fab too. Never heard of them, but they look very good value for money. (Ferrari white, hey? Cool! :eyebrows:)
Hi Jeff
Gold spikes, eh? That should improve . . . err . . . something
Well done mate, let us know how they sound.
Hope you enjoy these. I bet the price would double if they were imported here :(
Thanks guys, I gave up the idea of building a pair of super high efficiency speakers.
To much $$$ ,time and work.
And they would never sound this good.

Well done mate, let us know how they sound.
They will look better and there a little taller, bringing the drivers closer to my seating height so they just may improve the sound a little.
I can't wait!
The wait is killing me,they should be shipping in a couple of days.
Patience will reward you, Jeff :)

I feel for you bro :yesbruv:
Got a new pair of speaks on the way too and hopefully the doorbell will ring tomorrow when the delivery man arrives :)
I got my new speakers a week ago and it was worth the wait! :)
Running them in a little,
No more need for my Epos subwoofer.
These things are truly amazing.
compleate review to follow when I get over the jaw dropping slobber phase.
A quick cell picture.
These are unbelievable,
They are simply ruler flat into the 30's.
The best speakers I have ever owned and better than I have ever heard including AN E's and Zingalli's .
Better sound stage than even my Sound Labs.
And at 98 db. @ 1 watt 8 ohm. any amp can drive them, 4watts x 2 shakes the walls!
My amp is 18 to 20 watts x2 in triode depending on the tubes and how high there biased. 18 RMS is a real world number and I run the volume at 9:00 O clock a 1/4 turn of the knob!
The T.V, is 65 inch to give you some prospective ,speakers are 6 ft. apart.
I love the child-proof cage. Or is that to keep everyone out?

Yes. He has it hooked up to the mains.
Only the American mains - not half as scary
110V x 2 = 220V = not half.
QED :)

My 2 year old has defeated it at least once already.
I've made it pretty clear it is off limits.
I'm hopeful he will leave them be.

120v dosen't kick you off,I was once removing metal base board from metal walls in a high school with a crow bar to expand hall ways after a fire.
The idiot who ran the wiring took a huge short cut and ran single insulated 14 awg much like speaker wire between the base and wall.
They where supposed to use double insulated through an interior channel in the middle of the walls.
Carpet had already been removed and when I popped up the base it cut into the wire, the run was to long to trip the breaker and I welded a 2 foot line on the wall before the wire burned through and broke contact,It through sparks into the next room! you cant let go of 120 but 220 kicks you off.
Every muscle in my body hurt for over a week.
I get that 220 and 240 is more voltage but 20 amps is 20 amps and thats what does you in!not the voltage.

Aye it's current that kills i'll agree, but with a higher voltage (electro motive force) there is generally a higher current flowing through you. Depends if you are sweaty or not - best to stay ice cool & not sweat in all honesty :eyebrows:
Bodies offer a certain resistance so a higher voltage say 240V as opposed to 120V with the same resistance will force double the current & thus four times as much power through you :(
Glad to see you have your new speaker Jeff :)

YIPES!!! 4X more current!!!:stalks:
Seriously?
With the volume at 12:00 in triode.
A very usable 20hz. at well under 10 watts.

No - four times the power :)
No - four times the power :)
Got it...
Still pretty scary stuff, pretty screwed up if a young British kidlet puts a knife or a nail in the business hole of a wall plate.
:wowzer:
That's why our sockets have shutters. Unless the Earth pin goes in first, it's pretty much impossible to do.
Much safer than the Continental European system.
How menny hours should you spend breaking in new speakers before you review them?
I have played every odd thinkable album, even late at night at low volume just to keep them running in.

High sensitivity drivers can take up to a few hundred hours to run in, so be patient!
