Would like to give one of these a spin. extra points for unmarked condition, lid, rega arm or armboard (although original arm is ok too).

I've seen a couple come up on AoS but they go quickly!

depends on age / condition / arm

would prefer to deal with a fellow flier rather than pick up some dodgy example on ebay

This may be more cost effective cos if your gonna customise it you'll need all your pennies on the upgrades :lolsign:

fair point - one reason I've been hesitating about a 1210 is, can I resist the temptation to upgrade? new arm, new feet, new platter, timestep psu, timestep bearing (bugger it, if we've got the hood off, let's stick a Mike New bearing in there!) etc...etc.

Before you know it, I'll be stripping upgrades off my Gyro SE in order to fund a new Techie habit:eyebrows:

Dont go down the route of Timestep if you can help it. I got a power supply but thats going to be changed in next month or two. Timestep do ok stuff but there are better companies and upgrades out there for a lot less pennies. :eek:

And a Mike New bearing and platter are a must IMO... AAAAARGH!!!! I must resist... I must resist!!!

I thought there were "better" but for lots MORE pennies........ ;)

I do like the idea of the Funk platter though as although the build and reliability were pants, This grade of platter material did work a treat in PT and, I believe, the Voyd decks too amongst others...
