View Full Version : More of a 'Hello again' actually.

Hello Gents.

Just wanted to say that after quite a substantial absence, I'm back and hoping to start making a contribution again.

No tragic or disastrous reason for the absence (thankfully), just very busy at work and home etc. Also, like many I expect, cash is quite tight at the moment, so I didn't need you lot putting expensive ideas into my head! :lolsign:

Dedicated listening room is still doing the business, though I've totally failed to get around to the DIY bass traps for the corners, even though I've had the idea in my head from back when there was snow on the ground!

Current plans (hopefully cheap ones) include the above DIY room treatment, a decent and movable way to get decent sound for my AKG-K701 headphones for when I'm in the house, and probably getting rid of my modded Squeezebox and making my iMac my streamed music source.

Need to do a bit of catch-up browsing to see what everyone's been up to (apart from Jerry, I can guess that without looking) and then start posting again.

Welcome back. I remember you posting about your DIY room treatment and was waiting with baited breath what you intended to do, and more importantly your results ;) Glad to hear your still gonna go ahead with your ideas. Cant wait to hear what you achieve :cool:

Hope this doesn't open up old scars but I did what I felt I had to do to get my viewpoint across - faced with the same situation again I would do the same :ner: .
