Afternoon from an estranged Geordie (headed south in the 80s, lost the page in the map with the M1 on it and been in the big smoke ever since). Started off (early teens) in hifi with homemade stuff. Progressed to a Garrard, Trio and Kef Codas (wish I had kept them). Moved on (?) to Technics, Missions, MF B1 and Naim. Found hifi heaven when I heard classic Voigt domestic corner horns driven by SME and Howe's Quads. Valves and horns since.

Good to join this group having watched various stuff over the past few months

nee bad.

Just been listening to Laura Marling's new CD. Not bad. She goes from strength to strength. Not my usual 60's and 70's rock/prog/pysch/folk but more acceptable domestically. Latest purchase on vinyl - Comus reissue of 'First Utterance'. Wonderful stuff.

I work in Guildford and live between Haslemere and Midhurst.

We both have horns

Hi Richard,
I'm not originally from the Northeast, but not too far away - North Yorkshire.
Been doing a bit of family history recently and found the last few generations were all from the Northeast so I guess I've come home in a way.
cheers
Gordon
