I'm in a bit of a dilemma here and was wondering if anyone had any experience with using an Arcam CD17 with the rdac ?
My Dv27a is more or less dead now and according to the shop where I took it for repairs the part needed for it is now obsolete :( which is a shame (I loved the sound) for me anyway.
I have since bought a spinner (a Leema)and although it's not bad at all I must say I do miss the sound that my Arcam gave me.
My other option I guess would be to sell the rdac and Leema and put it towards a CD37 or buy the cheaper CD17 and use it as transport.

I cant remember exactly but I'm pretty sure it's the laser.
Symptoms are strange though,It will play CDr without any problems.
DVD's it would play with no problems until it started to stick once or twice.
It was when I was loading CD's most of the time the display would say No Disk.
When I took it to one of the HiFi shops in Newcastle they did their thing and got it to play CD's but only lasted for a few days.
They also told me that the part what was needed isn't available.
