The Spice girls did push the boundaries of prog rock beyond what most people would have imagined and its easy to dismiss them out of hand.

Jerry (Ginger) is a gifted flute player and Victoria (posh) could give Art Blakey a good hammering on the drums any day of the week.

Its only when you hit the rich vein of song writing that Baby and Sporty brought to the party that you realise how close the divide is between the Spice girls and Pink Floyd.
