Hi, I'm Joan and am new to this forum although I have sometimes posted on other Hi fi fora. I live with my partner John and Mervyn our Cocker Spaniel, in a village on the Worcs/Warks border.

Thanks, the Scheu is lovely, although I sometimes find the thread drive a pain. Well music wise I'm a bit of a folky, I like Kate Rusby, Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention, Gillian Welch, Richard and Linda Thompson and that sort of thing, but John likes his 70s Country Rock, CSNY, Poco, Little Feat, Joni Mitchell etc. he has a great vinyl collection from that era, mind you he is a bit of a fossil :)

Hi Joan and welcome to AoS. I recently heard a re-tipped Kontrapunkt A in my system and it's a very fine cartridge indeed. Your amp and speakers are a mystery to me: can you say a little more about them?

Are you by any chance a Policewoman? Careful you don't Arc those speaker cables and burn yourself to death. Are you Jett-ing off anywhere soon? No mention of Jimmy Cliff in your musical taste - you don't like Many Rivers to Cross? ;)
