Damn those classifieds and lack of will power...

Got a second Squeezebox for the bedroom (SB3) and I know the original psu with the SB3 is a bit pants compared to the one supplied with the Touch.
Just found out that the better SBTouch supply is compatible with the SB3 :)

I'm wondering if anyone who's fitted a 3rd party supply to their Touch would possibly be kind enough get in touch to discuss passing on their now spare stock SB Touch supply.

Not sure where to source one (or a cheap alternative that improves on SB3 stock) so just thought I'd ask here.
thanks. :)

Gaz.

You might want to try one of these:

or I've used this on an SB3 and currently on my Touch till I build a dedicated PSU for it:

Cheers Bernie,
did you find that second one (L11BQ) improved on the stock SB3 supply?

Hi Gaz, I've got an SB3 for the bedroom, and am using an L11BQ with it, which is an improvement over the original...the original must be pants!!! ;)

What I've also invested in are Sboosters, on all my 3 players (SB3 & 2 * receivers), which make a marked difference, even with the VN10L linear supply (now replaced by a SMPS version on their website) on my receivers.

I wonder if you just cut to the chase and got an Sbooster for the SB3 it might remove the need for an improved PSU. I think it's a mains filter and bunch of caps, and it does improve things. Given that the sbooster is only £25 and the maplins L11BQ is £34 it might be worth trying it first...I think Mark Grant is doing a 30 day money back offer at the moment, might be worth a try :)

Yes Gaz, I did think it improved the sound. I didn't keep the SB3 for long though so didn't do a lot of comparison. :)
