these are some of the best sounding warm accurate wide dispersion speakers i have heard in along time wow was told these are somewhat connected to ar maybe by builder or company let me know? all i can say if you see them allison 1,2,3,4 grab them they compete with speakers costing in the thousands. hooked them up yesterday and thought i died and gone to heaven just what the doctor ordered ha ha from classic to funk hiphop r&b they can handle the range not a problem incredible tight deep bass in small cabinet ar looking tweeter speaker on top pointing towards ceiling mine are allison 5 model the 4's use two tweeters instead of one sort of pointing left and right . wonder what watt mine are rated at? strings seem to appear out of air and disappear heard things on songs that i never knew exsisted they are bookshelf size but amazingly do what most floor speakers try to do image very well and feel the air around you with sound they smoked my timewindows for sound and soung good and tight and punchy at all levels loud or quiet you really dont have to spend millions on gear mids are some of the best i heard and these are only 2ways 8inch bass and tweeter how did they do that well im turning them on as type got to go definately find another pair real soon :eyebrows:

The only Allison-esque speakers in the UK are the ones made of shiny thick perspex and made by NVA. I believe the brand proper was imported for a short while (I think we had some of the smaller ones on dem once and I liked them, despite the different? presentation), but I don't think they were imported for very long..

Glad you like them :)

Any Allison speaker should perform way beyond the size of the enclosure as they are designed to use the room boundaries to enhance the performance. This is totally unlike just about every other speaker manufacturer where really careful positioning is important to minimise room reinforcement.

The Allisons need it to give their best & the consequence of this is they should produce a much bigger sound (bass wise at least) than the enclosure size would dictate.

I'd love to hear a pair at some time in my life

As Dave says, i'm also pleased you are enjoying them ;)
