Picked up a few nice LPs this morning from the used record department in the cellar of my local bookshop. The place is in a bit of a mess (they are still in the process of sorting the records out and are currently decorating) - so it was quite difficult to get round to search for things. I only managed to look through about half of their stock of (guessing) about 4,000 LPs (and the owner tells me he's got about the same again stored away until he finds the space to display them).

Jethro Tull - Thick As A Brick. The other recent thread about this reminded me that I didn't have it on vinyl. Found a first pressing (Green Chrysalis label, white 'Island' logo and text, A-3U/B-2U matrix numbers in the deadwax) in 'Excellent' condition with the newspaper sleeve fully intact with no damage and only a little yellowing and staining.

Everything But The Girl - Walking Wounded. 'Near Mint'. I've never seen this LP on vinyl before

Sade - Diamond Life. 'Near Mint'. Love this but I only had it on CD before.

Santana - Caravanserai A1/B1 in 'Excellent' - but needs a clean.

Not a bad little haul :)

As I say, they are still sorting the 'record department' out. Nothing is priced - you haggle at the till :eyebrows:

Though not of use to me, they have a Moth record cleaning machine on the premises too.

Walking Wounded, cracking album. Clean, musical and stands the test of time. Mirrorball is sheer classic music.
