Hi folks,

Sorry, I should have done this first, before posting a question!

I am an ICT lecturer at Derby College and teach some aspects of multimedia amongst other things. I have eclectic tastes in music and while I do not have a particular interest in sound recording I do have an elderly neighbour who does and has a good collection of vintage sound recording equipment and loves analogue sound! He has no Internet however!


He has recently acquired a Nagra IV reel-to-reel tape machine and is after a power supply and cable for it (Original if possible) I know there is a member on her who had such a thing for sale but a couple of years ago.

Does anyone know where I might get such a piece of equipment?

From the sound of things your neighbour has an interesting collection of audio gear.

There are several members here who are interested in tape recorders, both cassette and reel-to-reel as well as some who are professional sound recordists.

Apropos a power supply for the Nagra IV machine, I notice that you have expressed interest about the one I have for sale. Now that you have introduced yourself to the Forum, I would be happy to sell it to you on behalf of your neighbour.
