Larmer Tree Gardens - Dorset
2nd to 4th Sept
What an incredible festival this is, very unique in style and not a corporate banner or mainstream fast food tent in sight! Just good traditional grub, ales and wines with a selection of spicy offerings as well.
Set in the beautiful gardens of Larmer Tree in north Dorset, with a band line-up really suited to my musical tastes - a hidden gem IMO.

Micah P Hinson on the Garden Stage - rather a disappointment live.

A great selection of Real Ales, which due to meds I am on I couldn't partake in - except once! :(

An amazing surprise and not a band that were on my radar - London based Japanese rockers Bo Ningen. Not sure I would
want to buy their albums, but quite possibly one of the most exciting bands I have ever seen live.
A full-on visceral assault of the senses, that was very unique and bags of fun. I would love to see them again.

Joan As Police Woman showed what an accomplished artist she is and also a fantastic person. A highlight of the weekend for me.

Lykke Li put on a very fine show too.

4 stages of music on offer, plus many more entertainments, including a Comedy Stage.

An outstanding set from Midlake, who IMO should have been the Sunday headline act and not Joanna Newsom.
An incredible weekend, despite not being able to do all I wanted due to some quite severe back problems, but I won't bore you with that.
I missed a lot, but even so it was a wonderful weekend of music and I have a lot of new bands to check out :)
