1210 dust cover hinges

I finally got around to buying a dust cover for my 1210, but rather irritatingly the hinge attachments were not included. My TT already has the part for the hinge to drop into, I just need the hinges that attach to the lid.

Does anyone know the best place I can quickly and cheaply obtain some?

Cheers for your help guys, I looked at those links that Chris sent, one of them wanted £30 for 2 little hinges! robbing bastards.... anyway, I've ordered them now for about 7 quid.

I don't think the guys selling at £30 were necessarily robbing bar stewards - they may well be sat on official replacement stock that still owes them a return :)

Do you buy things to sell them at a loss ?
Without the official dealer price list it's difficult to make that call.

I'd have done what Dan did, and go for the items at the best price.
Still doesn't make the one selling at the much higher price a robber, does it ?

I was just trying to point out that someone is probably making (or has made) a hugely exaggerated profit on something that costs pennies to make. Someone in the supply chain has been greedy haven't they? Either that or there are too many people in the supply chain.

As it happens the £30 was not just for two hinges, it was for a lid fixing kit.

It's just that hi-fi often seems to be one of those things which implies a licence to print money. If it were Linn I would have batted an eyelid!
Actually, a pair of LP12 hinges, backplates and screws come to, guess what? - £27.56!

For 30 quid, you can get about 15 kitchen cabinet hinges, which are more complex, contain more parts, need more assembly and have significantly more material in them.
