Thanks Rexton, they do, but not quite as nice as with the Radford. You have my speakers of choice but I don't have the room for them.
Things got a bit odd very recently, I bought a Quad 306 (from here I'm happy to say) and it's very, very good. Too close to the other amps. for comfort if I'm to be fair !
All good fun.

Hi Ian,
Awesome bits in a very good condition as it looks.
The Radfors is it a STA 15? One of the best vintage amps.
Cheers

It is, though I'd like to try a 12 some time. Some chance !

Thanks Peter, they do have some marks on them but they're pretty tidy.
Lovely clean Leak Stereo 20 there, Ian. Classic (and very capable) amp.
Nice pair of quads there mate......I love vintage

The STA 12 was based on the Mullard 5-20 design. It won't be as good as the STA-15, as it uses an ECC83 for the phase splitter.
One of the reasons for the great success of the STA-15 and STA-25 designs is the replacement of the twin triode ECC83 with the triode pentode ECF82 (suggested by Dr Arthur Bailey):

Nice pics Ian!
I must pop over to hear your Radford soon! Only problem is I'd probably want to bring it home with me :)
Ian's ST20 is very nice indeed, sounded bloody lovely into my LV's :eyebrows:
