Just been searching for something unrelated and found an HMV bag in a cupboard at home with two sealed CDs and a receipt dated 4th Jan 1999 :doh:

The CDs are Gong - "The Best Of Gong" (£4.99) and Jewel - "Spirit" (£9.99).

This was a period when I was buying half a dozen or so CDs per week, but it's bizarre I could have bought them, stuck the bag in a cupboard and forgot about them for 12+ years :lol:

And 'Spirit' on Amazon is £4.42 new and 1p on marketplace...... how times change.

Hmm... Maybe I should try taking my copy back to HMV and getting my £9.99 back :rofl:
